Architect (B.Arch) (M.Arch, Hons) (ARB) and Urban Designer (M.Sc).
Alejandro’s expertise is in the field of residential design, with 10-year experience in projects ranging from bespoke single-family dwellings to strategic territorial-scale masterplanning. His interests match his professional experience, with a focus on bridging design and scientific disciplines across scales. He is particularly interested in the intersection between human ethology, culture and environment, and the influence it has on the built environment.
Alejandro has developed his activity as an architect in award-winning offices in Madrid, China and London. Further to his specialism in urban design, he joined the Masterplanning team in the London branch of the multinational engineering and consultancy firm AECOM, where he concentrated on large-scale international development. He has recently joined the UK Housing and New Neighbourhoods Team in Broadway Malyan as a Senior Urban Designer, where he applies a design-driven approach to unlock key sites for development for a variety of clients.
As part of his academic activity, Alejandro has been the City Sciences module coordinator in the Master of Collective Housing (UPM-Zurich) in its last six editions, as well as a teacher assistant for Alison Brooks in the same masters program. He has been a visiting teacher and lecturer in several universities and master programs internationally.
